The Journal of Trauma Studies in Education invites you to join us for the inaugural Trauma in Education Summit (TIES), taking place virtually January 26–27, 2027.

Created in recognition of the 5th anniversary of the Journal of Trauma Studies in Education, TIES extends the journal’s mission by bringing researchers, educators, practitioners, and leaders together to translate research into meaningful educational practice.
Summit Curriculum Call for Proposals Due Friday October 9th
We invite scholars, educators, practitioners, and other professionals to help build the TIES curriculum around a central question: How can what we are learning about trauma meaningfully inform what we do in educational settings? TIES sessions bring research and practice into conversation, creating opportunities to explore how evidence, theory, and emerging knowledge can inform educational practice, leadership, policy, and institutional change. Sessions should engage participants in considering what the knowledge means, how it can be applied, and what complexities arise when translating it into practice.
Registration
Registration for the two-day virtual Summit is:
$50 | General Registration
$25 | Students and Teachers
Registration provides access to keynote and featured sessions, research-to-practice and applied programming, and small, discussion-centered concurrent sessions across both evenings. Limited registration waivers available to increase access and participation.
Whether you study trauma, stress, resilience, or wellbeing in educational contexts, apply trauma-informed approaches in your work, or are interested in strengthening the connections between research and practice, we hope you will join us for two evenings of learning, dialogue, and connection.
